The purpose of this project was to design a poster that would attract families to attend the cultural festival, Corso Italia Fiesta, an annual summer event that takes place in Toronto. This design work was targeted to families and people of all ages. In order to grasp the viewers’ attention, the final solution of the poster is very striking through its metaphorical use of coloured lasagna noodles forming the Italian flag; a humorous approach intended to amuse the viewers! It is also successful in reaching the audience through its traditional and familiar colours, vertical format, and unique die cuts of the edges.
