March 21st marks the second building session of the display team (it was nice to see some familiar faces from first build session!). The day started off with a good ol’ light warm-up, transporting all the wood panels off the trucks, up 2 sets of stairs, and into the the Sheridan’s labs. There, the real workout began…

After months of planning by our Fundraising team, the YSDN 2010 grad show held a silent auction called Fuel: Driving the Creative Engine on March 7. Featuring live music and a silent auction, it was an unforgettable evening.

Wood, measuring tape, power drills — the Display team has officially begun building! The production of our new display panels for the grad show started today with the help of our enthusiastic student volunteers.

The videos are coming! Over the reading week, some of our students worked very hard to begin editing the video interviews into short clips that will introduce the public to this year’s graduating class.
Over the weekend, students from the Graphics committee were busy organizing photo shoots and interviews to promote YSDN Grad Show 2010.
Now that our Branding and Display teams have began to shape our grad show, our Promotions team can start considering how to introduce the YSDN10 Grad Show to the public.

Organizing a grad show takes enormous amounts of planning; it’s taking us 10 months, in fact, to hold this 4 day event. The website, however, is an interesting part of a grad show because it allows us to extend the experience across time and space.
