Trafficking of Children

See all works by Shaun Fernandes

Based on previous experiences of seeing these vulnerable children wandering the streets as prostitutes, it was an easy choice as a topic. Much of the writing has to do with explaining the different factors and circumstances that get children involved in this kind of industry. After giving the audience enough information, persuading them to take action was the next step. This involved incorporating existing non-profit organizations on the brochure to add realism. Gaining empathy through the wording of the body text and the factual data was the focus in this method of persuasion. A giant map of different countries who are committed to making a difference as well as those who are not were placed on the back. The map explores the actual numbers in the thousands of sexually exploited children per specific countries. This is to show the correlation between countries who have high rates and actually need to work towards a solution in stopping this act.
