YORK/SHERIDAN DESIGN GRAD SHOW 2010

Brickolage was a time-based project based on the classic ten-second film leaders seen at the beginning of movies to assist with projection, but using found type for the countdown. The project utilized Lego bricks to create the numbers, and most of the other visual elements present in the clip. The final product was a combination of stop-motion animation and video, literally deconstructing the countdown until it reaches its forceful conclusion. This theme of deconstruction grew out of the materials used to create the video and gradually became its most appealing element.
